Persistent Virtual Desktop

VITA's digital worker doesn't run in a disposable chat window. It operates on its own cloud Linux desktop — a full computer with a real browser, a file system, and installed applications. You tell it what to do via chat, and it works on that desktop exactly the way a person would: opening apps, clicking through web pages, filling forms, and managing files.

Unlike chatbots that forget everything between sessions, this desktop persists. The work your digital worker does — and the state it builds up — is still there the next time you come back.

What the desktop can do

  • Full operating system — A complete Linux environment with a terminal, file manager, and the ability to install the software a task needs.
  • Real browser control — The digital worker can use a full web browser to research, navigate sites, and complete web-based tasks.
  • Isolated and managed — Each workspace is sandboxed and runs in the cloud. There's nothing to install or maintain on your own machine.
  • Always on — The desktop keeps running even when you're away, so scheduled and long-running tasks complete on their own.

Cloud Files & Persistent Workspace

The desktop is backed by a durable, cloud-hosted workspace that belongs to your organization and is attached to every task your digital worker starts. Nothing is lost when a task ends.

  • Files persist — Documents, spreadsheets, downloads, and generated artifacts are saved to your workspace and available across sessions. Browse and manage them from the Files area in the app.
  • Installed apps persist — Tools your worker installs for one task stay available for the next, so it doesn't start from scratch each time.
  • Browser sessions stay logged in — Once you've logged into your accounts on the desktop, those sessions are remembered. Your worker can pick up where it left off without re-authenticating every time.
  • Org-scoped and durable — The workspace is shared at the organization level and backed by persistent storage, so your worker's environment grows more capable over time instead of resetting.

The result is a digital worker that accumulates context and capability — a real, persistent computer working on your behalf, not a one-off session that disappears when you close the tab.
